O Level.
The defining moment
The Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education (Ordinary Level) Examination is conducted in Singapore annually. The University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE), the Ministry of Education, Singapore and the Singapore Examinations and Assessment Board (SEAB) are the joint examining authorities for the Singapore-Cambridge GCE O-Level examination.
From getting their hands on past-year papers from elite schools to stocking up on bottles of chicken essence, parents are gearing their children up for the examination season. This also means coming up with hour-by-hour revision timetables, sending their children for last-minute study sessions, and even taking leave from work to prepare them for major exams, including the O Level Examinations.
The O Levels is one of the most crucial exams in determining the educational paths of children in Singapore.
